Chillin' 6"x8"
I like the idea of a gull just chillin' at the beach. Maybe he has friends he's waiting for. Maybe he should spring for some french fries! I like the vastness of the beach with the one gull enjoying it.
These last three are excellent, love the beach and water colors you choose and the gulls are fantastic, especially like the close up with him stepping off with one foot.
Lee, I like this seagull. It's kind of iconic - doin' the 'seagull' thing - of observing everything... I have seagulls where I live, and I've always wanted to paint them - but they intimidate me! Great job! Happy blogging! NO MORE GRAY CUBICLES for me, either!!!

ReplyDeleteThank you! Your kind comments make me think I'm on the right path. I had a lot of fun with the last 2.
ReplyDeleteI just love your gull paintings! They make me smile! You really capture the essence of gull on beach!
ReplyDeleteThank you Shelley. They actually make me smile most of the time too. I really enjoy watching their antics when we go to the beach.

ReplyDeleteThat's one thing I'm celebrating in the new year, No More Gray Cubicles! I have fun with the gulls. They are such funny birds.
ReplyDeleteYou know what intimidates me? Fruit. I am scared to death to try and paint fruit. If I even think I should try it, I panic.
Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteAll these nice things being said just make my day! Thank you all.
