I've been experimenting with taking different aspects from a variety of photos and turning them into a drawing for a painting. These were the two I was happy with. Thanks for stopping by.

A new beach scene I'm excited to paint.

 Another of my floaters.

I didn't like the way the original drawing turned out so, I gessoed over it and redid the drawing.

Now a step away from the beach and my first attempt to draw a calf. The picture I took didn't turn out that great for whatever reason. I promise when I get some heat in my little studio I will be painting away. Right now it's only 37 degrees Fahrenheit in there! Thanks for stopping by!

Day 1

Here is my first painting for the 30 in 30 day challenge. I am doing a 20 paintings in 30 days challenge with my painter friend in Minnesota but, I am also challenging myself to see if I can actually complete 30 paintings in 30 days. I hope that partially finished paintings that you finally complete count. I'm going to say they do!!! Thanks for stopping by. (I really don't know what to call this one.)

I loved the photo of my bonus niece so much I can't resist trying to paint it. I think this will be the last sketch in my beach series for now. On to painting!!! Thanks for stopping by.

Sorry its been a while since I posted. I was having a very difficult time getting into my blog and posting. This was a sketch I did after coming back from my mini vacation to South Padre Island. Thanks for stopping by.

I've taken quite a few pictures of my husband at the beach. I figured it was time to do a painting of him! Hopefully, in about 8 days we will be at the beach!!! Thanks for stopping by.
